Skiing and snowboarding are right up a man’s alley—athleticism, adrenaline and competitive fun all rolled into one exhilarating activity. The 2016-2017 ski season proves to be one of the best yet. Here are our top picks for the best of the season.
For something completely mancentric, grab your pals for a day exploring the local beer scene surrounding Mammoth Lakes, Calif., with Eastern Sierra Brewery Tours (easternsierrabrewerytours.com). Owner Mike King handles all of the driving and beer education during the four-hour tour of the region’s micro- and nanobreweries, stopping at Mammoth Brewing Company, June Lake Brewing and Black Doubt Brewing. Lunch at Ohanas 395 also is included. $99 per person
A new package offered by The Hotel Telluride (thehoteltelluride.com)—dubbed the Snow Bike & Brew package—includes a three-night stay at the luxury boutique hotel, a professionally guided fat bike snow tour, locally crafted beers and spirits from the Telluride Brewing Company and the Telluride Distilling Company, a customized five-course dinner at The Hotel Telluride and breakfast for two daily. From $1,579 based on double occupancy
After an action-packed day on Colorado’s slopes, head over to The St. Regis Aspen Resort (stregisaspen.com) for its new male-focused spa treatments at the Remède Spa. Choose from the Remède Customized Men’s Facial ($270 for 90 minutes), which addresses the specific skincare needs of men (think ingrown hairs and uneven skin tone); The Manly-Cure ($40 for 30 minutes), which consists of a hot-cream hand massage followed by cuticle care, and buffing and shaping of the nails; and The Essential Pedicure for Him ($110 for 60 minutes), which includes buffing, nail shaping, cuticle care, exfoliation, a warm paraffin mask and a relaxing massage. Each treatment is served with a refreshing local beer. Rooms from $2,649 per night
